(AND MUSK'S LOVECHILD KILLED IT)

So then! I'm near positive nobody actually knew this, but at one point during the course of this month, I had a reddit account! Granted I didn’t do much with it—I found it a challenge to navigate, and the userbase was dominated by a certain sort of folk I don’t acclimate well to. The kinds with a penchant for strictness, and instilled with the undying desire to see others punished in accordance to arbitrary guidelines for posting.

Sufficed to say, I like how Tom and the NG Team run this place, a lot better than the ever-changing “micro-communities” of Reddit. But, Elon forced my (alongside many other’s) hand(s) upon single-handedly destroying Twitter through some of the most baffling managerial decisions I have ever seen a nepo-baby commit to the digital record. So, we went elsewhere, in search of a new bulletin board to nail our crayon scribbles to for the whole world to see.

While one may see my lack of posting there being owed to my day job bleeding me for time, I have now come to gain an otherwise superstitious appreciation for my inaction, seeing it more as fate. For you see my dear reader, the union-busting Advanced Publications (parent company to Reddit.com and majority stakeholder) decided to partner with the one baby that Musk actually wants to claim: OpenAI

Yes, the very same OpenAI who’s CEO had flaunted his creation to Congress as a killer of man, the Torment Nexus from the classic sci-fi novel “Don’t Create the Torment Nexus”. The same company behind the very first in human-killing artificial intelligence products, ChatGPT; a spin-off of CleverBot with half the wit and twice the lies, but triple the potential for murder! Though so far the only things it has managed to murder are a few prosecutor's career’s and AirCanada’s Wallet. However, there’s another victim on the chopping block! And its name is Reddit.

At an unknown time in the future, Reddit will allow all the collective slurs, historical inaccuracies, and sage-like wisdom of answering a question with 20 other questions (before you’re told to “stop necroposting” and have your thread subsequently locked & archived) to be interpreted by The Jaunt beneath OAI’s headquarters, to then be regurgitated back to you in a brown slurry-like form straight down your gullet, once they implement chat bot integration for your average user! Hurray!

If this massive and whimsical breach of privacy wasn’t enough of a red flag, let me hammer it in: OpenAI is a data-driven company. Without it, they wouldn’t exist. If you think this is going to stop at text, you’re wrong. They’ll scrape that hellhole for all that’s on it, and sell what they can’t put in their comically large slurry machine to other prospective buyers. They’re undoubtedly going to scrape the site for images, and I for one, cannot abide letting them do that with my art. And not to tell you your business, but you shouldn’t either. This isn’t “inevitable”, this is a company taking the last vestiges of creative freedom and expression, putting it in their mouths, chewing it up, and sharting it back out, with an ungodly amount of wasted electric to boot. It’s NFTs 2.0, and while it will die inevitably, I don’t know when. And until then, I want to keep my creations safe from these greedy bastard’s clutches.

TL;DR: Fuck Reddit, fuck OpenAI, fuck Musk for setting any of this in motion, I’m deleting my Reddit account and likely never returning.

Hi there Newgrounds! My name is Everett, and I've been itching to show my work with the web for ages now. Certain limitations to this goal have become non-factors with time, and now, I feel I can reliably give it a shot. Fame, fortune or no, I really do want to make some of you folks smile, and the best way I know to do that is to share what I love doing: Creating.

About Me:

While I’m rather privacy conscious, and treat my online presence like an alter-ego that my family can never know of, there are some things I feel poignant to share.

1. I’m a high functioning autistic, and as such find some social interactions difficult. This has become less and less of an issue as time has gone on, and barely effects how I engage with people online, but I still feel it important to note.
2. I’m 18, and as of writing, will be turning 19 the month after the next.
3. I’m a cis male.
4. I have extreme reservations about interacting very much with fans due to the power dynamics at play. I’m no Clayton Ray Huff, and I refuse to allow any fan develop a para-social relationship with me. Just remember, I’m a creator and your a fan. Nothing more, nothing less. Let’s both treat it that way like responsible adults.

What Should You Expect to See Here?

On this account specifically, I aim to create:

1. Raunchy, gory parody content mainly involving my small cast of less-than-professional bunny army men.
2. Heartfelt tributes to media which has stuck with me ever since my first watch or read.
3. Original works of art and fiction produced by myself, be they:

• Digital Animations (2D & 3D via Blender or SFM)
• Single Illustrations
• Comics
• Music
• Games

Bear in mind, this is but a general outline. Certain releases very much fall outside the realm of these categories.

On the topic of gore however, I would heavily encourage anyone with an aversion to disturbing imagery, body horror, blood (even in unrealistic amounts), guts, occasionally pronounced and (mostly) clothed genitals, vaguely sexually charged imagery, ect. to not view my work. If you’re alright with what I produce, then please do not purposely share it with those with any of the aversions listed above.

And What Should You Expect Release-Wise?

The matter of releases should be understood with the preface that there are three distinct types:

•  Projects: Generally, these are large scale, multi-month-long endeavors which I freely publish my progress under specific threads on the art fourms. Depending on its nature, I may upload these pieces to my outpost on YouTube.
• Pieces: Individual works, unrelated to larger projects. (with exceptions)
• WIPS: Not entirely main gallery material. These are almost always uploaded after the piece is finished, though exceptions to this are made for unfinished pieces that never left the WIP stage.
•   
• INTERNAL PROJECTS: No external uploads of content related to i. projects are permitted without an accompanying status update, and appropriately chosen selections of content. Only once proper vetting for the upload has been undertaken, and all content has been cleared of any risk that it'd be compromising the i. project core, can it be published.

With the separation of Projects, Pieces and WIPs in mind, you can expect varying time frames between each. A consistent release schedule is not exactly in the cards for the time being.

Who Should be Viewing My Work?

Put things simply, nobody under the age of 18. Not only do I not wish to cultivate a following of early to mid teens or kids, but none of what I publish is suitable for such an audience. In a similar vain to my prior plea—if you’re over 18, do not share my work with anyone who is under the age of 18. This is why the vast majority of my artwork will be rated Mature here on Newgrounds.

I realize some individuals under the age of 18 are going to end up seeing my work regardless, as the means of bypassing age verification measures are ludicrously easy. Just know that I condemn this wholeheartedly, and do not welcome these individuals into my community. If you’re reading this and are under 18, abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Actually, don’t enter at all. That’s what that means.

Regarding NSFW:

While in a technical sense, all of my art isn’t safe for work in some regard (revolving around mature themes, crude jokes, gore, drug use, etc.), any sexual content on this account specifically will be parodic or used jokingly. That being said, producing genuine lewd content isn’t at all out of the question.

Given the large volume of humorous (albeit occasionally extreme) gore on this account however, I’d like to keep the actual lewd content literal continents away from here. Guro/sexualized gore makes me sick to my stomach, and it makes me sicker thinking of someone mistakenly believing me to be into that. As such, my NSFW account will be launched later under a different handle. You’ll know it’s me, but I would encourage you not to comment as much or spread around who actually owns it. Same policy as user bigsteppies. Honestly, I’m more okay with people’s first impression of me being the psychotic bunny gore guy as opposed to “the porn addict.”

Final Thoughts:

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for not producing this sooner. I posted my first piece (found here) on Wednesday, with only the vaguest idea of where to go from there. I’m still new to the scene, and balancing life and work can be,, difficult, to say the least. Still, we’re all (hopefully) adults here. I’m hopeful that you will all understand.

Secondly, I have a whole host of content in the works for all of you! I feel it’ll prove incredibly entertaining. Unfortunately, I can’t say much on the matter for now as I like to avoid spoiling the surprise of it all. It really is no fun.

And lastly, I would just like to sincerely thank you for reading through this, dear readers. Even if you may just be passing by, or are considering keeping up with my work from hereon, it means a lot. And I promise—I will not let you down.
